Richard Stallman points to an American company incorporated in the state of Virginia for the explicit purpose of "the manufacture and marketing of tobacco products in a way that each year kills over 400,000 Americans and 4.5 million other persons worldwide."
Meanwhile, in Germany a tabacco lawsuit has reached the Federal Court of Justice. However, the Court has not yet decided on the merits of that lawsuit. This decision was only about the question if the plaintiff's insurance company needs to pay for the cost of the lawsuit, which will really start only now.
